These young men are THE best!!!!!

SOOOO obedient
     SOOOO enthusiastic
SOOOO friendly
SOOOOOO hard working

Returning from their stage is done celebration.
Amazing what letting them wear shorts can do for morale.

INDEPENDENCE DAY! Great time to start rehearing the Boat scene!
Brother Halterman is our Boat Captain this year. Usually it is a District Leader but 3 of them decided to do lights and the 4th is on Flight Crew.

Brother Holbrook, one of our amazing District Leaders was really getting into it, and he isn't even in this scene!

You should see the other guy...a Frisbee!!! Nice shiner Brother Larchar.
They get hurt more often when they are playing than any other time.

Getting to know the Directors that they will be working with. They will be eating lunch and dinner with us for the next 2 days.

Time for Ground Crew to be issued their headsets. someone made the comment that if Pageant were going to continue that we would probably get some new technology...like blue-tooth and earbuds instead of the cumbersome headsets they have to wear!

Brother Morgan...the sound technician. He runs all the sound for the Pageant.

Mr. "Smiley"...Brother Rytting, one of our District Leaders.

All the curtains are installed...THANK GOODNESS. Curtains are the bane of our existence, going up and coming down.

Brother Braegger, the Church's master electrician. He is teaching the young men on the Light Crew the workings of the follow spots that they will be operating.

Water curtains, on the other hand, are beautiful and spectacular!!  Oh, and WET!!

The new Lehi's tent.

The AMAZING  boat!

Work Crew "groupies"!🤣

More Boat scene rehearsing. This is a very challenging scene physically and requires strength and endurance. It can be a very dangerous scene if not done correctly. That is why is is rehearsed over and over and over.

Getting the last follow spot into tower 1. It takes Brother Braegger backing up his golf cart with the rope tied to it that hoists the follow spot up the tower. They are too heavy to do it manually.

Time for dinner!

Hello Brother and Sister Hess from Lima Peru. We are the Atherton's, Brother Simpsons grandparents. We had the distinct privilege of working in Palmyra in 2017. We love seeing the pictures from inside the event. We are currently serving in Lima as Temple Missionaries and are also assigned as members of the Branch Presidency for the Manti Branch in the MTC here in Lima. We appreciate all you do to transition these young boys into wonderful young men! Thanks so much for your awesome service and example to these future Elders.
